One of the joys of working in PR is seeing our clients grow! So after working with New Shanghai for over a year now, we couldn’t of been more proud to help them launch their new Sydney CDB restaurant.
Tuesday, 13th October saw Sydney’s best food media and bloggers flock to New Shanghai in Westfield, Pitt Street for a dumpling tasting extravaganza.
With SLR’s popping out left right and centre, the restaurant lit up with vibrant red Chinese lanterns, unbelievable aromas and plenty of chatter.
iD Collective staff were on hand to cater for the packed house and ensure tummies were filled with delicious Chinese bites from New Shanghai’s delicious menu and chilled beverages. With a selection of Chinese bites, such as juicy pork belly, crunchy rainbow beef, and New Shanghai’s famous pan fried pork buns – guests were overwhelmed with gastronomical delights.
Hearts were racing as guests were treated to a performance by authentic Chinese lion dancers – drums beating and symbols clashing, other than the dumplings (of course), the performance was a clear highlight of the evening.
On top of the edible treats, guests were intrigued by a talented calligraphy artist, offering traditional Chinese sayings and guests names in Chinese calligraphy.
There is only one problem with New Shanghai dumplings and that is that one is never enough! So iD Collective worked closely with New Shanghai to ensure guests did not leave empty handed as they walked away with a goodie bag filled with frozen dumplings, Chinese fans, information and an umbrella, all with New Shanghai branding!
Located in the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD, the new restaurant adds to the list of New Shanghai’s popular restaurants around the nation including Melbourne Emporium, Newcastle, NSW and Brisbane.
