On a balmy Hump Day evening, foodies, beer lovers and key Melbourne media joined forces to help celebrate the launch of Melbourne’s newest summer festival – The Summer Hop Up presented by Beer DeLuxe.
The ultimate-beer lovers playground and popular Melbourne venue Beer DeLuxe Federation Square played host to New Zealand brewery Panhead and Latin Street Food Truck, La Revolucion, with the scent of chorizo filling the streets of Melbourne’s CBD.
We’re massive foodies at iD Collective, so we really enjoy being able to combine our love of food and PR. Thankfully, the weather gods were looking down on us and created the ultimate beer drinking weather, balmy with a breeze. Foodie bloggers flocked to the newly renovated venue to launch the new summer festival, which will rotate popular Melbourne food trucks and showcase local and international breweries on a weekly basis.
Guests at the launch were treated to aromatic and outrageously tasty paella made fresh onsite, with Beer DeLuxe’s secret spices, as well as the flavoursome and authentic taste of South America with Latin Street Food from La Revolucion such as tacos, sliders and tapas. As well as ice cold CUB beer Lazy Yak on tap, guests could choose from Beer DeLuxe’s notoriously large array of brilliant local and international beers, the perfect thirst quenching treat for delicious tapas.
With a guest list that saw Melbourne favourites like Lee Chan, Cat Law, Lawson Reeves, Concrete Playground and The Plus Ones, Melburnian’s will be raising a glass in celebration for the new festival.
