7 TIPS TO ENSURE YOUR CONTENT IS SEEN ON SOCIAL.


1. Quality not Quantity

This is true in life, but it is even truer on social media. Take the time to research your audience and their key interests. With this information you can deliver high quality, well-thought-out posts that will capture your audience’s attention.

2. Know Your Audience

This is key to making sure that your content resonates with those that matter the most. You need to take the time to understand what your audience wants to hear, what matters to them, and what makes them tick. They are your potential customers, so it is important that you build meaningful relationships with them right from the very beginning.

3. Add Value

You know your product is great, but don’t just tell them about it, tell them what it will do FOR them. What are you providing your audience? The content should provide information, solve a problem, or entertain to be seen as valuable to your audience.

4. Connection

It is integral to be establishing a connection via your content. This means that we need to look beyond the words, and the pictures and start looking at emotion. How can we make our audience trust us? Emotive content doesn’t always need to make people cry but it does need to evoke a reaction to make your content memorable.

 

5. Video

Video is key to being seen. At present, video is given preference on almost every social media platform and is a great way to be able to communicate a message in an easy to digest and entertaining format. By ensuring your content is meaningful and tells a story, you are able to resonate with your audience.   

6. Paid Strategy

To be truly successful on social media your content should be backed by a successful paid social media strategy. This will ensure that your content is seen by the right people at the right time. Social media advertising is objective based, meaning that the advertising will be served to those who are going to meet your business goals - whether that be reach, awareness, engagement or conversion. It also means that you content will appear to people that are more likely to be interested in your offering.

7. Be Authentic

 You do you! While you may have to tailor your messaging to reach your target audience, it is important to also stay true to your brand and to what your brand stands for. Don’t be afraid to take a different approach, have a different opinion or try something new. Authenticity will win, every time.  

 Above all, don’t post without a solid content strategy behind you. Whether you are educating or entertaining your audience, each post should have a purpose and should provide something of value for your audience.
